Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented WordPress Developer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, maintaining websites, and ensuring high performance, availability, and security. You should be comfortable working on both front-end and back-end development tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch or customize existing ones.
- Convert design mockups into responsive WordPress websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Implement website functionality using WordPress core features, hooks, and APIs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Maintain and update existing websites, ensuring compatibility with WordPress core and plugin updates.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and other developers to implement new features and functionality.
- Optimize websites for SEO, speed, and performance.
- Ensure website security and implement best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and APIs.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
- Familiarity with Git/version control and deployment processes.
- Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
- Experience with WooCommerce and other popular plugins.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) and custom post types.
- Knowledge of REST API integration.
- Familiarity with headless WordPress or JAMstack concepts is a plus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
